FACULTY SHOW
The Art Institute of Tampa, October to November 2006.
Group exhibit featuring AiTa faculty.  “Girl in Shadows”, ground reversal drawing with pencil on
black paper.

BOOK ILLUSTRATOR
Illustrated some poems from
Edge of Existence poetry book by Kim Krumpler, published in 2005.
Poems were illustrated using traditional mediums and also digital 3d imagery. Samples can be seen in fine
arts section.

GAD233 - Materials and Lighting
Students explore uv mapping, materials and lighting in relation to the application to a game engine. Lecture
contents were developed based on a syllabus provided, assignments were designed to apply the concepts
learned to hands on projects.

GAD293 – Sculptural Modeling
Developed syllabus and course contents along with another Subject Matter Expert. Provided lecture,
assignments and illustration material for class development.
Course Description: “This course provides students the opportunity to analyze and depict human skeleton-
muscular anatomy using both traditional physical media and digital sculpture techniques.”

GAD324 – 3d Modeling and Animation course
Developed syllabus and course contents, including weekly lectures, assignments and                 
illustrations for course to go live at The Art Institute Online.  Course was developed and signed
off to go online in 2 months.  
Course Description: “Students will create proposals for projects that
apply advanced modeling and animation techniques learned in previous modeling and
animation courses to produce a variety of high quality 3D objects, environments, vehicles,
characters and props.”

C234 – Principles of Animation course
Developed syllabus and course contents, including weekly lectures and assignments for course
to go live at The Art Institute Online.  Course was developed and signed off to go online in 3
months.
Course Description: “This course is a practical survey covering the principles of animation.
Animation exercises are explored and students learn to use a capture system to study and
analyze the flow of movement.”

C424 – Pre-Portfolio Presentation for Animation course
Developed syllabus and course contents, including weekly lectures and assignments for course
to go live at The Art Institute Online. Course is a 5.5 week sequence with C430 (Portfolio         
Presentation for Animation) course.
Course Description:  “A class concentrated on the pre-production and production of a demo tape
and a flat-work portfolio that represents the student's abilities and interests.”

C430 –Portfolio Presentation for Animation course
Developed syllabus and course contents, including weekly lectures and assignments for course
to go live at The Art Institute Online. Course is a 5.5 week sequence after C424 course.  
Course Description:  “A class concentrated on the production of a demo tape that represents the
students' abilities and interests.”

ONLINE FACILITATOR – MEDIA ARTS & ANIMATION
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division, 2004 to present.
Tasks include facilitating courses online, help with reviews of new courses being developed,
revisions to existing ones, and assisting with the development of the Media Arts and
Animation program online, including pre-requisites and course contents validation, providing
graphics and animation examples, and participation on the development process for new
classes. Member of the Admissions Committee, graduating portfolio reviews and Capstone projects, and
faculty mentoring.  

SECOND LIFE MODELER  - CODE NAME: GODZILLA PROJECT
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division, January 2007 to May 2007.
Tasks included creating objects to populate the Art Institute Online’s pilot course in Second Life,
using SL tools.

ANIMATION DIRECTOR FOR NANOBRIDGE PROJECT – The Art Institute of Tampa, April 2006 to
March 2007
Lead animation students within international teams including scientists and other students, to
build a virtual heart to showcase online and on IMAX theaters. http://www.nanomarcapasos.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPER
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division, May 2006 to present.
Developed 2d animation and 3d Modeling/Animation courses on a Fast Track for the online         
school. Sample graphics were provided as well as animations to incorporate to the online
lectures. Tasks include provide feedback on MAA courses in development for the AiO new MAA
program as well as GAD courses.

ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR
The Art Institute of Tampa, Tampa, Florida, October 2005 to July 2006.
Directed the Media Arts & Animation and Game Art & Design programs, including student
persistence and advising, student registration, faculty management and hiring, developed faculty
training sessions in new grading software, established a mentoring system for new faculty
members, developed entrance requirements for GAD program to use as a standard in
Admissions, created Portfolio Assessments model for use in other programs, collaborated with
other ADD’s in portfolio reviews, collaborated with the Miami school to participate on the SACS
monitoring report response for 2006, developed character design and script writing contests that
increased student participation within the department, collaborated with other ADD’s to improve   
workflow in the department, scheduled guest speakers and workshops that would include faculty
and staff as well as students,  participated in new student orientations, Open House events,         
Studio 101 and other community building events, coordinated PAC member meetings to
establish contacts within the local industry, revised curriculum and participated from ADCOM and
Technology committees to keep the software and hardware up to date according to the programs
requirements, and taught one course per quarter.

ANIMATION INSTRUCTOR
The Art Institute of Tampa, Tampa, Florida, July 2004 to September 2007.
Tasks include teaching courses, developing contacts with the local industry and volunteering as
a judge for school sponsored contests.  Currently participating as Animation and Modeling
director for Nanopuente project. And ADCOM and student portfolio reviews member.

International Academy of Design and Technology, Tampa, Florida, October 2004 to July 2005.
Tasks include teaching animation classes and assisting program directors on development of
the curriculum.

Tasks include re-building company’s image through marketing, promotional items and
advertising, develop solutions for automation of website and appointment setting with the
